Violence, aggression, and war are fueled by anger, greed, and arrogance, it is arduous to achieve external disarmament without inner disarmament. In many countries around the world, inner disarmament is gradually seeping into the curriculum starting at the kindergarten level. It is believed that the more we incorporate ethics and compassion into our education, the better world we cultivate for our children and the future generations. The presentation will deal with how to tackle anger with mindfulness. It is paramount to recognize anger early by paying attention to our inner thoughts and feelings in the present moment. Mindfulness, which trains our mind to be more focused through concentration, enables us to understand our inner mind. Some mindfulness practices will be included in the workshop. The ways to enhance the natural default state of compassionating and concerning for others will also be discussed.
