US-China relations has witnessed increasing tension and uncertainty in recent times. The changing dynamics between the two largest countries in the world – from the diplomatic, technological, economic, financial, psychological to the political – are certain to re-shape the future of the world for years to come. Professor Kenneth Lieberthal, distinguished China scholar, along with leading experts from the Lieberthal-Rogel Center for Chinese Studies and the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan will unpack their deep insights into the factors and forces at play in analyzing the US-China landscape. The expert panel speakers will give the US perspective on an array of issues spanning from US competition concerns relating to China’s strategic priorities, the political tension around China’s expanding economic and trade ascendancy, and China’s future role in the global world order.
